Larson's Headacrez is a small, family-run operation currently split between two states. The East location is based in Reed City, Michigan and operated by Nathan and Emily, while the West location is near East Troy, Wisconsin and managed by Janet. Together, the farm is home to eight registered Scottish Highland cattle, all part of a carefully selected breeding program. The name Headacrez comes from Nate’s great-grandmother, affectionately known as GG, who once said, “There’s always a headache going to happen somewhere on the farm.” The name stuck—and so did the truth behind it. Our logo, shown above, was created in memory of David Larson—Nathan’s father and Janet’s husband—who passed away in 2021. His heartbeat is featured between the horns of the herd’s matriarch, Peek, honoring his lasting presence on the farm. Larson’s Headacrez has been involved with Scottish Highland cattle since 2003 and began owning cattle in 2015. While our operations are divided between two locations, we remain a united family farm. Limited beef sales are available—feel free to reach out to any of the numbers listed for more information.
